Comite Hills West is a subdivision of approximately 180 homes located in the northeastern section of East Baton Rouge Parish and is included in the recent incorporation of the City of Central, Louisiana. Established in 1976 by the Watts Brothers Supply and Development, Inc., the rural subdivision has grown steadily to the present date. All homes are single-family units, have at least 2400 square feet of living area and reside on lots averaging 3/4 - 1 acre in size. Our residents take pride in maintaining the intense beauty and the peaceful serenity of the area.
The Comite Hills West Homeowners Association, Inc. was organized and incorporated with the Secretary of State of Louisiana as a non-profit entity in 1997. As stated in the
Bylaws the mission of this organization is to ”promote the safety and welfare of the subdivision." In order to maintain the subdivisions appearance and enhanced security features we ask that all residents pay an annual homeowners association fee by March thirty-first every year.
The Association Board of Directors is comprised of no more than twelve representatives elected by the membership. Officers, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, are elected from and by the twelve representatives to serve a one-year term. The Board of Directors meet quarterly in January, April, July and October but additional meetings may be called if deemed necessary. Board members and neighborhood volunteers serve on many special committees and functions that promote Association objectives and goals.
